headshot2Telling a story is like reaching into a granary full of wheat and drawing out a handful – there is always more to tell than can be told.                                                                                                                                                    Wendell Berry

I was raised in central Indiana and attended Anderson University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.  However, I seemed to have an innate curiosity for new places and traveled to multiple continents, including a brief time living abroad in China.  This curiosity also led my wife and I to Seattle, WA and to The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology where I completed a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology.  We then returned home to central Indiana to be near family and friends and to set-down roots for my vocation as a mental health counselor.

I joined the team at Family Counseling Associates in 2008 and have thoroughly enjoyed building a counseling practice within a community of excellent mental health professionals.

When I’m not engaging in the stories of my clients at the office, I enjoy engaging other good stories in film and literature, spending time with my family and friends, enjoying a fine cup of coffee, playing the guitar, and running.
